The Bushmills 46 Year Old is the oldest single malt ever released from the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world. It pays homage to the River Bush, which has flowed through our story for over 415 years, its water at the heart of every drop of Bushmills Irish whiskey dating back to 1608. Only 300 sequentially numbered bottles have been released globally, elevated and celebrated in stunning bespoke packaging worthy of this precious and prestige whiskey.

Our whiskey is kept safe in a beautifully crafted hexagonalwalnut presentation box, it's layered marquetry depictingthe unique landscape around our distillery.
Exquisite details pay tribute to the River Bush, from gold engravingto etched compass coordinates pinpointing where the River Bush enters The Old Bushmills Distillery through Saint Columb’s Rill.
TASTING NOTES
After maturing for nearly half a century in sherry butts, imbuing it with a deep and rich hue, this ultra-rare Irish single malt is artfully married with our most elusive reserves, dating back to 1978.
Colour: Deep mahogany.
Nose: A unique harmony of delectable ripe dark fruits, sweet apricot, caramel and gentle waves of warm aging oak.
Taste: Intensely rich and spicy medley of cinnamon, crushed clove and nutmeg aromatic spice developing into delightfully sweet ripe black
cherries, sun-dried raisins, baked plums and apricots before giving way to waves of roasted coffee, warm toffee and gently toasted oak.
Finish: Smooth yet robust, luscious and lingering spiced fruit and gentle oak, this 46-year-old liquid is an exquisite example of aging well - delightful
