Eager to experiment with The Balvenie profile using what he had learnt from a recent trip to Islay, distillery manager Ian Millar ordered a batch of Speyside peat for the kiln. For a week a year,
The Balvenie distils a batch of peated malt, resulting in this richly smoky expression with notes of fresh citrus, creamy vanilla and Balvenie’s signature honeyed sweetness.
A 19-year-old take on our delicately smoky Week of Peat, this expression adds a footnote of sweet and warming spices to its honeyed f lavour.
The story originally began with Distillery Manager Ian Millar spotting a week’s gap in the distillery schedule.
Eager to experiment with The Balvenie profile, he ordered a batch of Speyside peat and headed for the kiln.
A malty sweetness on the nose complemented by beautifully toasted oak and rich smoke. Vanilla toffee gives way to a cinnamon spiciness. TASTE:
Rich and earthy smoke reveals syrupy sweetness, fresh citrus, creamy vanilla and honey, ending with cinnamon and ginger spice. FINISH:
Delicate smoke with a lingering and spicy sweetness.

Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
