In Scots, a ""Deacon"" is an adept and proficient master tradesman. The expert distillers behind our Scotch fit the name perfectly: The Deacon is an homage to master craftspeople, whatever their trade may be.
The Deacon is a masterful blend of both smoky Speyside and peaty Islay malt whiskies, making for a complex, rich, and smoky dram. In our blend, the single malts from Islay have a characteristic peaty smoke flavour, while the single malts from the mainland have a bonfire-like smoke character. A nose of charred orange, sweet malty biscuits and woodsmoke gives way to juicy orange on the palate along with delicate spice, and tangy peat. The finish is both sweet and smoky, long and smooth.
Traditional copper pot stills used in our distillation process lend their iconic shine to The Deacon’s stunning bottle, which looks like nothing else on the shelf or back bar, covered in an ornate pattern and stamped with our iconic mascot. The Deacon is the most unconventional Scotch you'll ever experience. A one-of-a-kind blend that defies traditional Scotch conventions, featuring a bold and complex flavor profile and unique design sure to awaken your senses. With our FREE Click & Collect service, you can now place your order up to 12 hours in advance of collection and pick it up from one of our convenient collection points in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Dublin airport or in Cork airport (72 hours in advance for Cork).
Prefer to travel handsfree? You can shop online before you fly and collect your purchases on your arrival back into Ireland. We only need 12 hours* to prepare your order and we’ll have it ready and waiting for you at the Click & Collect desk in the Arrivals Hall. There are so many ways to shop at dublinandcorkdutyfree.ie

Terminal 1 Departures: Our Click & Collect desk is conveniently located in Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free Store, directly after you exit security.
Terminal 1 Arrivals: After you pass through Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall, the Click & Collect desk is conveniently located on your right.
Terminal 2 Departures: After you pass through the security screening area, walk through the shopping area and you will see the Click & Collect Collection Desk at the end of the walkway.
Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
Cork:
Departures: Directly after security, at the Click & Collect desk in Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free store
Arrivals: At the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall
*All orders for collection in Cork airport must be placed at least 72 hours in advance
